2024 Prevent One Concierge Education Fund
Our goal is to support risk management professional development, education initiatives, and “prevent one” claim for CHI owners.
The goal of the 2024 Prevent One Concierge Education Fund is to support risk management professional development, education initiatives, and “prevent one” claim for California Healthcare Insurance Company, Inc., A Risk Retention Group (CHI), owners. To ensure unique needs are being met, Optima provides this fund to each owner to access education and services specific to mitigating risk.
Examples for qualifying reimbursement include:
- 2024 CSHRM Conference in Napa, CA
- 2024 SCAHRM Conference in Rancho Mirage, CA
- 2024 CHI Owners Retreat – hotel and/or travel expenses
- 2024 ASHRM Conference in San Diego, CA
- Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management Exam Prep Course , ASHRM Certification
- 2024 HQI and Hospital Council Annual Conference – HQI (hqinstitute.org) – Lake Tahoe, CA
- Legal counsel – policy and procedure review (e.g. 5150, informed consent, clinical contract review)
- Legal service – advice (e.g. difficult termination, handbook review, conservatorship)
- Training/education (e.g. fall prevention, clinical documentation, de-escalation techniques, etc.)
- Consultation services (e.g. implementing a Good Catch program)
- Patient Safety Collaborative participation (e.g. PSO / ECRI)
- Risk assessment (e.g. clinical department, security, workplace violence prevention, etc.)
- Other as discussed with and approved by Optima RM consultant
The maximum reimbursement per CHI owner is $2,500 and expenses must be incurred in 2024. Reimbursement request form(s) must be submitted by December 13, 2024. The 2024 Concierge Education reimbursement form must be completed online and submitted with:
- Evidence of attendance (if applicable), and
- Evidence of payment. Evidence of payment includes a copy of the facility’s check(s) or credit card payment(s) and invoice(s) supporting the expense(s).
