Perinatal
Accessing the resources and adapting the guidelines in the context of your own hospital's policies and procedures, will support your Perinatal Unit's goal to be a high reliability unit.
The following are guidelines for Perinatal Best Practices for High Risk Deliveries. They do NOT cover the routine day-to-day management of Labor & Delivery patients, unless the practice carries the potential of an injury for patients and/or is associated with a legal liability for the health care team and hospital. The guidelines are divided between Administrative and Clinical Best Practices. These guidelines will be periodically updated as new information is received. By accessing the resources provided and adapting these guidelines in the context of your own hospital policies and procedures, your Perinatal Unit will enhance its efforts to be a high reliability unit.
