Description

Sexual abuse and misconduct by healthcare professionals remains a persistent — and significantly underreported — patient safety concern. Medical chaperones play a critical role in safeguarding patients during sensitive exams, yet many organizations lack clear policies, consistent practices, or adequate training to support  their effective use.

Join us for this timely webinar exploring the role of medical chaperones in reducing sexual abuse and misconduct in healthcare settings.  Attendees will learn what constitutes a comprehensive chaperone policy, including guidance on staff eligibility, training requirements, documentation, patient refusal procedures, and reporting expectations. The session also addresses how implicit bias can influence the way chaperone policies are applied, interpreted, and experienced by both patients and staff.
